As I mentionned in my previous post, I left OverBlog. Starting April 1st, I’ll be part of the Hellocoton team. For those who don’t know about this awesome startup, it’s a portal aggregating women blogs in order to give the best of the girly blogosphere.
For those who asked, I won’t move to Paris. This will be a remote job, which means my office will be my home, so I’ll stay in Toulouse for now. I assume it’s gonna be hard, but as I’ve never worked this way, I think it will definitely be a good experience.
I’ve always said I really like this project (see my French blog post about it). Hellocoton is certainly one of the coolest French projects I’ve seen so far. I’m really happy to join the team, and I’m excited about developing new features on the website. Also, I’m very excited about working in a startup which has an in-house designer (people who know me know how much I think the UI & UX aspects are important on a website).
It’s the beginning of a new chapter of my life, and I’m pretty sure this new adventure will be as awesome as my previous gig.

Remote work is as hard as interesting. You’ll have more possibilities of distraction and you will always be at work, even when you will be at home. It’s nevertheless a great experience and a nice way to do your job, with all the comfort you need, minus your N+1 to ask you for a coffee when you are doing bullshit on Facebook. I know, I saw you.
So congrats and enjoy, Hellocoton is an impressive website, you’ll have fun with Hubert for sure. :)
